Visiting Writers

ARC has been fortunate to host an incredible array of visiting writers with our Poetry & the Senses initiative. Begun in January 2020 and running through Feb 2024, we are proud to have sponsored readings from over 37 poets in conversation, including:

ARC finished the program with a gathering RECLAMATION in February 2024, featuring readings by 19 of the 2023 fellows and organizers Natalie Diaz, Craig Santos Perez, and Beth Piatote.

Additionally, we created an archive of Bay Area poets reading one of their poems in relationship to our yearly theme in our Flash Reading Series and our Poetry & the Senses Fellows are celebrated at the end of their fellowship with a group reading of poetry they have created during their tenure.

Reclamation Poetry Gathering

RECLAMATION gathered 19 fellows chosen to participate in the 2023 Poetry & the Senses program for three days of readings, conversations, and workshops, along with facilitators Natalie DiazCraig Santos Perez, and Beth Piatote.
