The Arts Research Center is a think tank for the arts. It acts as a hub and a meeting place, a space for reflection where artists, scholars, curators, and civic arts leaders from a variety of disciplines can gather and learn from one another.
We hope you enjoy exploring ARC's new website, launched May 17 2024. During summer 2024, ARC staff will be updating all research areas to develop a searchable artist directory archive, including pages for every artist, writer, performer and scholar who has visited Berkeley with us, linked to their events, over our 24 year history. We are also happy to share our growing lists of arts resources divided into On Campus and Off Campus information, developed for arts students, faculty, and community members.
