Fabián Leyva-Barragán was an ARC Fellow in Spring 2012 – he was chosen in the Undergraduate category.
Fabián Leyva-Barragán is a curatorial fellow in the Visual Arts Department at the Walker Art Center. Among his curatorial duties, he coordinated the Walker’s presentation of Adi’s Utopia: Dreams and Deceptions in Cuban Art Since 1950 along with Olga Viso, following the exhibition’s previous showing at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Before the Walker, Fabián was a curatorial assistant in the Department of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, CA, where he worked in the exhibition: ‘Photography in Argentina, 1850-2010: Contradiction and Continuity’, which was part of the Getty Foundation’s “Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA” initiative.
