Jake Skeets Craft Talk: The Memory Field

On October 6th, the Arts Research Center is thrilled to collaborate with the English Dept’s Lunch Poems Series to bring poet Jake Skeets to campus for a reading and public craft talk on The Memory Field, in conversation with ARC Director Beth Piatote. The reading will be held at noon in Morrison Library, and the craft talk and conversation in the Maude Fife Rm, third floor of Wheeler Hall. Jake Skeets is the author of Eyes Bottle Dark with a Mouthful of Flowers, winner of the National Poetry Series, Kate Tufts Discovery Award, American Book Award, and Whiting Award. He is a winner of the 2018 Discovery/Boston Review Poetry Prize and his work has appeared in Boston Review, Waxwing, Ploughshares and elsewhere. He is from the Navajo Nation and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma.
