Keyword: Inequities | Speaking of inequities, there are already some unfair things happening in this world: the status of gender, race, and age. These categories are relatively in large range and maybe the range is already too broad, so people have been accustomed to those classifications. In terms of race, it has been arbitrarily classified by different kind of people in the past and the current time, according to this point, we, the people have already been treated unfairly. Back to our primitive ancestry, we were all from the same place, only because of the influence of the different local geography and climate that changed our current appearances.
On October 12, the Arts Research Center at UC Berkeley and the Curatorial Practice at the California College of the Arts are partnering to host a live-streaming of the Creative Time Summit, an annual conference in New York that brings together cultural producers–including artists, critics, writers, and curators–to discuss how their work engages pressing issues affecting our world. To jump-start the conversation in advance of the event, attendees have been asked to submit a paragraph on a keyword associated with one of the summit themes: Inequities, Occupations, Making, or Tactics.
