Charrettes & Salons & Supporters

December 31, 2014

In addition to public conferences and symposia, the Arts Research Center organizes other, small-scale gatherings meant to advance and celebrate faculty research in the arts:

CharrettesARC Charrettes allow ARC-affiliated faculty to share their work-in-progress with other ARC Affiliates and invited guests. ARC charrettes provide facultyartists and scholars with an intimate, supportive, and challenging environment in which to present new work and solicit feedback from an interdisciplinary array of peers.

SalonsARC Salons feature the finished work by UC Berkeley faculty artists or arts scholars. Typically, ARC affiliates and other invited guests (including membersof the campus and the broader Bay Area community) view a faculty member’s exhibit, performance, or lecture, then adjourn afterwards for discussion and convivial celebration.

If you are an alumni or other Bay Area community member interested in joining ARC’s “Salon Circle,” please email Associate Director Lauren Pearson at lauren.pearson@berkeley.edu, or call 510-642-4268.

The programs of the Arts Research Center would not be possible without the support of these individuals and organizations:
