The Arts Research Center would like to thank our community’s support of ARC’s 10-day whirlwind residency with artist Rick Lowe! Rick’s stay with us was jam-packed with a range of activities, from lectures, symposia, tours and studio visits, and we are so grateful for his unceasing energy and inspiration throughout.
Many of you joined us during his stay, whether it was helping us frame the residency during our Re-Broadcast of the Creative Time Summit; through studio visits or on travels to a variety of sites throughout the Bay Area in San Francisco, the Headlands, the Richmond Greenway, Oakland’s International Boulevard, or the San Pablo Corridor in Oakland. Many of you attended public programs, salons, receptions, and symposia where we all thought deeply about the parameters and sustainability of social and community engaged work.
This residency would not have been possible without the support of the Berkeley Regents Lecture Program and the support of Reid Hoffman and Michelle Yee, in addition to the Global Urban Humanities Initiative, College of Environmental Design, and the Department of Art Practice.
We would also like to thank our many partners and co-sponsors who helped us to pull off this mini-residency.
