Sbrogna | Berkeley's all-ages home for world music and dance since 1973. Features live music from national, international, and local artists six nights a week, focusing on world and roots music. Many performances offer dance lessons prior to the performance that are included in the ticket price. Also hosts dozens of dance and movement classes and workshops in the two studio spaces, and provide space for the community to hold events, fundraisers, benefits, and also private events. |

Hertz Hall houses a popular free Noon Concert Series and a full roster of evening and weekend concerts by superb student ensembles. Student and faculty performances feature music of many cultures and centuries performed by the University Symphony and Choruses, Gamelan, Baroque, African Drumming & Dance, Gospel Chorus, Wind, Jazz & Improvised, and new music , as well as a professional recital series presented by Cal Performances. It is named for longtime conductor of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, Alfred Hertz, who contributed funds for its construction. Many performances are free, UCB student tickets are $5, general admission is $15. |

La Peña is a community cultural center with a national reputation and a global vision that promotes peace, social justice and cultural understanding through the arts, education and social action.
