In conjunction with the launching of the second, fully revised and expanded six volume edition of the Encyclopedia of Aesthetics (July 2014), the Arts Research Center will co-host a full day symposium on Friday, March 13, 2015, looking at aesthetics as both the subject and object of critique, and as a way to explore and expand new forms of aesthetics research in many disciplines.

Mapping the Conversation: The Questioning Aesthetics Symposium Reader will present evolving conversations around participation, computing and the contemporary, where scholars and artists from around the US discuss the changing state of interdisciplinary art relations and question blind spots in the field. Directions to 308A Doe: Enter Doe Library through the south entrance (near the east end, the building corner closest to the Campanile). Go past the security desk and turn left and at the end of the corridor, turn right and right again – which are the only ways you *can* turn without going through a closed door – and you’ll see Elevator 3. Take the elevator to the third floor and after you’ve gone through the detection gate just outside the elevator, turn right. The door to 308A will be on the left. Map of 3rd floor.
